- No. It isn't just the operating system. It's the blend of
- machinery and software that makes the Amiga what it is.

- So long as new hardware is being made and the software is
- better than what the PC has to offer, I'm sure that alot of people
- will have slow Amigas occupying that warm spot right beside the
- 586/100Mhz or the DEC/275Mhz. It's a sad fact when speed and price is
- valued more than quality.

- Ah, as always, the gaming crack. Look past the kiddie stuff
- and look at the serious stuff the Amiga shames the PC at.
-
- Os/2 Warp has taken alot of ideas from the Amiga OS, but that
- doesn't mean I fell in love with my 486/dx-2 66. It's a shitty
- machine that doesn't work half as well as the Ami (IMHO).
-
- Windows as good as Workbench? I can't stop laughing. At
- least OS/2 has it's ass on straight.

- I can't argue with the fact that droves are leaving the
- system. However, I think that while lots of folks are leaving, there
- are just as many who HAVE the software and hardware they need to do
- serious work. As long as that continues to be, I can get my work done
- and I'll be just fine.
-
- As for NewTek ceasing LW development for the Ami.... I don't
- doubt it. They gave the Ami something it might have had -- a better
- chance. Can't be bitter about that. However, when it comes to the
- bottom line, the Ami isn't worth the effort, right?
